Ted Ligety 2nd in Soelden
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:47 AM
Ted Ligety 2nd in Soelden Ted Ligety kicked off the 2010 Olympic season with an impressive second-place Giant Slalom podium finish during the first World Cup in Soelden, Austria on Sunday. This is the third year in a row Ligety has finished on the podium in Soelden. “This is the toughest year I’ve raced in Soelden. Today was super bumpy and pretty variable snow. I was psyched to make it down and get second, so it was definitely a good day. I’m super psyched with how I am skiing and it’s a good way to start out the season,” Ligety said. “This is an exciting start to the Olympic year for Ligety and Rossignol,” said Jesse Keene, US Race Manager for Rossignol. “After Ted’s knee injury at the end of last year he worked really hard to come back strong. We are thrilled that after all the hard work, Ted has proved he is back and stronger than ever.”

Dynastar Unveils How Skis Are Made
Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 3:44 PM
 | | | | | Dynastar Unveils How Skis Are Made on..."How It's Made" | | | | | | For the first time ever a ski company will show the world how its skis are made on the highly-acclaimed How it’s Made television show. The crew of How It’s Made was at Dynastar in Sallanches, in the Chamonix Valley, France in September 2008 to produce this interesting step-by-step view of how alpine skis are produced. The show will highlight the different parts used in a ski, including bases, edges, metal laminates, top-sheet, molding processes, cosmetics and finishing processes -- everything that goes into making skis ready for the slopes.
How It’s Made is an award-winning show that highlights how ordinary, everyday items are made. Have you ever wondered how the products you use are made? How It's Madeleads you through the process of how everyday products, such as apple juice, toothpicks, engines, contact lenses, and many more objects are manufactured.
Now that list includes Dynastar skis. And soon it will include Lange boots, too! The How It’s Made “Dynastar skis” show will air on Friday June 19th 2009 at 9:00 pm ET on the Science Channel. 2010 Lib Tech Snowboard Review
Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 3:27 PM
One of the best things about working at a ski/snowboard shop is I get to try out all of the gear the season before it's released. The snowboards I am most amped on is Lib Techs line-up. The Dark Ser ies has a new camber story for the 2010 season. It's called C2 Banana. C2 offers the best of both worlds of banana rocker in between your feet and of camber under your both feet. Riding this board you could really feel the difference at high speed bombing groomers flat based it is a lot more stable than a board with just banana. But because of the banana it is still a poppy fun board to ride. And with the Magne-Traction the edge hold is beyond amazing. This is going to be the board I am going to ride next season. Another board I might have to get for next season is Banana Magic. This board really is magic. This board is super poppy and with the magical mystery sidecut it is super fun to carve. You can totally lay-out you heel edge turns like a surfer railing his bottom turn. This is also very environmentally friendly because in place of fiberglass it has an all basalt construction I think this adds to it poppyness. I know it's summer but when you get a chance you really need to try this board out it will change your life.
